It's nice to see that people are dropping by and hopefully enjoying what's up so far. Do feel free to tell your friends and spread the comic through any venue you can think of.
I've done quite a few strips before (one of which was collected into a small book, which you can get by clicking the link in the left sidebar). I do have to say that this one is more fun to do than all of the others put together. I'm not sure why.
It could have to do with the fact that I know it's never going to get syndicated. I don't want it to be syndication. Syndication would mean constraints, and that doesn't sound very nice. And which newspaper would ever pick it up, considering it deals with such things as cannibalism and perhaps worse things that I won't talk about right now.
And then there's swearing. I never swear. Really, I don't. I was told that if you swear, you end up in he... heck. But it's not about the actual swearing, of course. It's about the sex and violence. No, just kidding! (But it is, though). No, really, it's not. (Mmhmm, it is).
It's about the personalities of the characters, and it just so happens that these two guys talk a bit dirty. At least it's not me saying it, so it's them going to hel... heck, right?
Anyway, this is a really boring post.
But that doesn't stop me from going on. I see this comic as a sort of reality show. There's a rooster and a bull who hang out every day on a farm, talking and observing what goes on around them and what happens elsewhere in the world (I'm not sure howt hey do that, though - I think it would be rather difficult to read a newspaper not only lacking opposable thumbs, but actually having hooves). Oh, well.
I just point the "camera" at them and record what they say. It's almost as simple as that.
This is a hobby of mine. I'm really a children's illustrator and writer of sorts - so perhaps you can see why it might be liberating to do a strip like this.
And to reiterate, it would be fun if a lot of people read it, so if you know someone who's into cannibalism, then shoot them an email. Thanks so much!
