I’ve read the first 2 1/2 books and I intend to finish the series something (NO SPOILERS PLEASE!) and they’re OK. BUT… if a vampire can withstand sunshine, in my humble opinion that character is no vampire. Variations on flying/not flying etc. is one thing, but you you can’t mess with the sun thing. Didn’t Blade just wear sun screen?? How lame is that??

I’m sure twilight is a good series, but I like many, was put off by the sparkling bit. Just makes the idea of vampires a bit too gay for my taste.
